It’s the most important event in aeronautics! From 17 to 23 June the 53rd edition of the International Air Show is taking place at the Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
Cetim will be there, along with other Carnot Institutes and ONERA, at the Aircar booth, Hall 4 Booth E117. This space dedicated to the French research services available to very small, small and medium sized businesses in the aeronautical industrial sector brings together 6 demonstrators, including a winged drone and a lithium battery developed by medium-sized businesses in collaboration with AirCar Carnot Institutes.
Among them, Cetim is presenting an aircraft window frame and skin fuselage assembly made of PEEK and carbon fibre produced with its high-speed thermostamping process QSP®, as part of the European Sherloc Project (Structural Health Monitoring, Manufacturing and Repair Technologies for Life Management of Composite Fuselage). Within this project, part of the Clean Sky 2 programme (the biggest aviation research programme ever launched at the European scale), Cetim proves that it is now possible to make composite parts for the aeronautics sector at production rates and cost levels that are compatible with series production !
Note that this new edition of the Paris-Le Bourget Air Show is also an opportunity for Cetim and Siemens to reaffirm, at a dedicated event, their willingness to collaborate to promote the digital transformation of companies in the sector.
