Visit Cetim and its subsidiary ETIM at the 55th International Paris Air Show – Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre – Hall 2B, GIFAS Pavilion, booth C158
For over a century, the International Paris Air Show at Le Bourget (SIAE) has been the prime meeting place for the global aerospace industry. Each new edition promises to be a fascinating epic. From intrepid pioneers to cutting-edge technologies, this show is where innovation takes flight, dreams soar, and the future is shaped. In 2023, the trade fair brought together nearly 2,500 exhibitors, with nearly €130 billion in contracts signed!
The aerospace sector benefits from all of Cetim’s activities, from R&D to Ecodesign, testing, advanced manufacturing, recycling and training services.
Cetim, a key partner of aerospace manufacturers since its creation 60 years ago, is once again attending this major event to present its latest advances for the competitiveness of the sector. As with all the other industries heavily involved in mechanics, Cetim is committed at all levels of the value chain, from the prime contractors to mechanical SMEs and intermediate-sized enterprises, including close relationships with the professional organisation GIFAS and participation in related European projects. Its R&D actions provide the sector with concrete tools for applying the results of advanced scientific work.
Through its three major strategic investment projects, Cedre, HyMEET and e-Mobility, which combine cutting-edge equipment and multidisciplinary expertise, Cetim develops solutions and services to support manufacturers in meeting current technological and environmental challenges, particularly those related to the ramp-up and decarbonization:
- Support for the electrification of powertrains through a multiphysics engineering and testing approach: NVH, EMC, thermal management
- Development of fluid systems for hydrogen: pumps, valves, tanks
- Smart testing in correlation with simulation and modelling
- Excellence in design and manufacturing for lightening, increasing the pace of production, reducing costs and decarbonization (thermoplastic composites, additive manufacturing, …)
- 360° support for automated control in production to improve industrial performance in terms of productivity and product/process quality
- Full range of R&D services
- Advice and Cetim Academy® trainings to support the development of Human Capital
Specific support for the competitiveness of SMEs and intermediate-sized enterprises in the aerospace area
- Quatrium
Cetim offers SMEs and intermediate-sized enterprises Quatrium boarding areas throughout France to guide them in identifying the most relevant technologies to ensure their transformation towards a more sustainable, efficient and competitive factory. With Quatrium, they benefit from tailor-made support to secure their investment projects and consolidate their organization! - FabLab 5G
Through the 5G Smart Manufacturing initiative, Cetim offers intermediate-sized companies specific support to help them develop a comprehensive vision of their medium-term industrial digital transformation within an Information Systems Master Plan (ISMP).
Cetim has helped accelerate the transformation of nearly 300 companies as part of the ‘Industry of the Future’ programme of GIFAS (2019/2023). This approach to industrial excellence has enabled the sector to improve its competitiveness and increase its attractiveness, as well as the flexibility and responsiveness of the industrial tool throughout the value chain
Cetim at the heart of R&D for the aerospace sector’s commitment to decarbonization: zero net emissions target by 2050
Cetim regularly contributes to numerous collaborative R&D projects at national and European level for the development of the aircraft of the future.
Its experts are involved in the Clean Aviation program, which aims to develop technologies that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 30% by 2035. As part of the France 2030 Plan, Cetim, together with the Pprime Institute, Safran Aircraft Engines and Safran Transmissions Systems, has created the ‘Aeroseal’ industrial chair dedicated to tribology for dynamic seals in aeronautical engines with the aim of optimizing engine performance and reducing fuel consumption.
Cetim’s experts are involved in the StoHyC, HYDEA, H2TECH and Terra-Preta projects, among others.
